Online Volunteer Opportunity!

Are you a passionate reader with a heart for service? Imagine using your love for books to profoundly enrich the lives of older Australians? As a Volunteer in our In2Books online club, you can turn this dream into reality.

We’re a not-for-profit charity that helps older Australians and First Nations people connect with volunteers through online programs. We create virtual communities where people can interact and support each other.

It's time to author a new chapter of change and connection. Let's get started.

Start Date: 5 July
Time: Wednesdays at 10:00am

As an Online Volunteer, your role will be to:
  • Share your passion for literature with like-minded older Australians
  • Meet and greet participants as they arrive
  • Facilitate engaging sessions according to the provided plan
  • Log your volunteer hours in the Polixen App
  • Complete short monthly support emails

Our team will be available at the beginning and end of each session to provide Acknowledgment of Country and assist with troubleshooting. Don't worry if you're new to online volunteering - we offer remote training to help you get started!

What You’ll Need:
  • Your own laptop/computer, internet access
    and antivirus software
  • Positive, proactive, and friendly demeanour

This volunteer opportunity allows you to contribute from the comfort of your home. To ensure the safety of our participants, you must be willing to apply for a National Police Check (we'll support you with this) and be 18 years or older due to insurance purposes. Don't worry, we provide full support and offer online training.

Inclusee is Centrelink approved and can assist applicants requiring mutual obligations.

Books not your thing? No worries, we have an array of diverse volunteer roles that cater to a wide range of interests and passions. Explore our volunteer vacancies here.
