Every year on 21 November, Australians are invited to take part in something simple, joyful and surprisingly powerful: Say G’Day Day. Launched by Inclusee and inspired by the global celebration of World Hello Day, Say G’Day Day is more than just a feel-good moment — it’s a national movement that recognises social connection as a health essential.
In 2025, the World Health Organization reported that 1 in 6 people globally are affected by loneliness, contributing to over 871,000 deaths each year. Social isolation is now recognised as a serious health risk — on par with smoking and obesity. At Inclusee, we believe that connection starts with a hello. That’s why we created Say G’Day Day — to encourage Australians to reconnect with one another, one friendly greeting at a time.

The idea is simple:
On 21 November, say “G’Day” to ten people.
That’s it.
It could be your neighbour, your barista, someone at the dog park, or even a friendly face online. It’s a small gesture with a big ripple effect.
For too long, “G’Day” has been tucked away as a tourist cliché. But it’s a warm, welcoming and disarmingly simple way to show you care. And let’s be honest — if two syllables can brighten someone’s day, why wouldn’t we use them?
But the power of Say G'Day Day is more than one word. In a country built on diversity and immigration, saying G’Day is how we welcome and celebrate every culture that calls Australia home. Whether you say Hello, Ngara, Kaya, Kia ora, Ni hao, Namaste, Salam, Kamusta, Xin chào, Ciao, Hola or G’day, every greeting matters.
